Thomas Sheraton, "The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing-Book", 1791
Marion Historic Preservation Arts was established in 1994, working initially with interior designers creating a wide variety of decorative schemes ranging from modern metallic wall finishes to traditional Chinese Ming-style murals. This versatility enabled me to become proficient at woking in a wide range of styles.
My specialty of replicating period finishes developed in association with conservators, curators and architectural historians. As a historic preservation artist I am dedicated to complete authenticity. Taking a minimal, yet effective approach to treatments and adhering to the Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works.
